Without looking, can you answer that question? Now ask five people you know. Are you surprised to learn that many people don't know how far a marathon distance is? I probably had no idea how far a marathon distance was before signing up for one 10 years ago but now I'm extremely aware of how many people don't know this fact.
So the other day I'm on the phone with my nephew Emmett (he's 11) and I was telling him about signing up for the marathon. Then I followed up saying "that's 26 miles!!" to which he replied,
"26.2."
Good lad!
